My friend Luci told me several weeks ago that she once had a dream that she was having tea with two velociraptors. As soon as the words were out of her mouth, I wanted to draw it. So yeah.. here it is. Though now that I'm finished, I realized that I may have forgotten to give the raptor on the right a monicle...and that makes me a little sad.
Sketched with a mechanical pencil, colored in Open Canvas, and my boyfriend helped me throw in a few fun effects in Photoshop.

Tea for Three by ~ChibiMaryn is a beautifully orchestrated piece: From the artist's decision to run lines through it like an old moving-picture show, to the little girl's humorous expression. (Suggested by *SlyDante and Featured by `cooley)
LoL, this is a hoot! I love it! Especially the expression on her face. The male velociraptor looks very suave The sepia-ish 'aged' look is a nice touch.
I think I need to Fav this...

most awsome! The old film effect works very well with the image. I especially enjoy the expressions and just plain unusual storyline. Dreams are always perfect inspiration because they make such silly nonesence sometimes!
I think you could still try and add the monocle digitally, it would make a nice detail...
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
